Electrolux HVF robot vacuum cleaner thinks green

December 23rd, 2009

Vaccum cleanerJust imagine how wonderful it would be if dusts can be converted into flowers! The Electrolux HVF robot vacuum cleaner is such a incredible machine, but till now it’s just a concept, an idea that may come ture in the future. Hopefully we can all get one some day and start making the world a better place to live.

The news is actually a bit old, but as a ture eco-geek, I just want you to take a look at the Electrolux HVF robot vacuum cleaner. The product is what Vanderbussche Grégoire thinks of a robotic vacuum cleaner in the year 2020. Designed for Electrolux, the HVF “Imgine the home in 2020’ robot vacuum cleaner works with hydrogen cells. This energy produces some water and the vacuum cleaner capture the dust. The dust works as the ground and the plants us these composing to grow. In case the jar of flower is full, you can cut 2-3 times plant in order to reuse it. The notion of dust transforming into flowers looks to be awe-inspiring. Each HVF will come with two flower pots and you can even go for more at an extra cost.

How nice! Let’s just pray it will finally come into production and start to protect the world in your own way.

One little guy for your leisure time

December 23rd, 2009

water proof MP3 What do you usually do in your leisure time? Movie? Game? Music? I think since you might be a little tired, some music will just do fine after some boring housework. What? You barely have any spare time in the day!? Don’t worry, this little guy is kind of made for these occasions, it’s small, easy to wear, and waterproof.

If you care about MP3 players, you might remember the SwiMP3, an MP3 player designed specifically for use when swimming. Handy if you swim a lot, but what if you just like to run or bike in rain and snow? You don’t really want to wear a swimming accessory while you’re running — unless you’re running to the pool, I guess, but let’s ignore that contingency for now.

That’s why this XtreamP3 looks like more of a match for me. It’s still a little much since it’s designed for people who, you know, exercise, but I could probably use it when I have to walk in the rain to our weekly Call of Cthulhu game. And you can also use it when doing some washing work or other housework, don’t have to worry about the water and dusts!

It’s now on the market at the cost of $150, which is admittedly pretty expensive for a 1GB player. But notice that it comes with a neoprene arm strap and has integrated headphones, actually more than a ruggedized Shuffle. Hopefully we all can enjoy the pleasure soon.

Puzzle Sofa

December 23rd, 2009

sofa

With this fabulous new sofa you can change your room set often without changing new furnitures. Its designer is Francois Bauchet, a very talented one, and its manufacturer is the famous Ligne Roset, this simply assures its quality.

More than one hundred years of history go into every piece of furniture from French maker Ligne Roset who specializes in one of the most progressive collections of quality furniture I have seen. I am very sure that none of their original designs were as catchy as the “Yang” sofas slick modern appearance that features a versatile shape that allows a variety of set up configurations. The Yang is really four identical sections that make up a well rounded square, which in this case the sum of the parts is as cool as the whole. $3,100 – $3,700 per piece.

Quite pricy but still worth it. Buy one if you’ve got money, or simply admire its beauty if you have not.

Coffee Drinking Reduces Risk of Mouth and Throat Cancers

December 22nd, 2009

coffee

Do you know that US. is the world’s biggest coffee-consuming nation. Nearly fifty two percent of Americans drink coffee daily, which means about four million cups of coffee are drank per day! Since we all know about caffein you might felt a little struggle when having one, now here’s somthing you might not know about coffee.

A study conducted in Japan finds that drinking coffee can reduce the risk of mouth and throat cancers by half. If true, this would be another entry in a sizable list of benefits that have recently been attributed to drinking the brewed beverage.

Researchers at Tohoku University in Japan analyzed data from a group of more than 38,000 people aged 40 to 64 who were enrolled in the Miyagi Cohort Study. They report in the American Journal of Epidemiology that people who drank one or more cups of coffee per day had half the risk of developing cancer of the mouth, pharynx, and esophagus compared to people who did not drink coffee.

The reduction in cancer risk occurred both in people who are at high risk for these cancers because they drink alcohol and/or smoke, and in people who did not have an elevated risk of these cancers. The best way to lower your risk of these cancers is to quitting smoking and drinking, but coffee consumption seems to be another way to significantly reduce risk. Recent studies conducted in Europe and America have found benefits of coffee that include lowering the risk of type 2 diabetes, reducing Parkinson’s disease risk by as much as 80 percent, cutting colon cancer risk, lowering the risk of cavities, and even treating headaches.

However, people still should be cautioned not to overdo it: most of these studies (including the present one) find benefits to drinking moderate amounts of coffee, and consuming too much of this caffeinated beverage can cause heart palpitations and increases in blood pressure. Coffee can also aggravate gastrointestinal conditions such as GERD and ulcers. Pregnant women, heart patients, and those at high risk for osteoporosis are usually counseled to avoid coffee.

Feel a little relieved to enjoy a cup of coffee Huh…However you might need a nice coffee machine to make your coffee healthier, cause you know these instant coffees…In this case, a nice coffee machine can do great good to you, though this might take a little bit more time, still it’s worth it.
