February 02nd, 2010

Freshness Showig Milk BoxYou are what you eat. As it is said in this old saying, food is one of the most important thing in our life, as a result, food safety almost equals our health condition! Thus it is very essential for us to eat good, fresh food, but however, it’s usually quite difficult for us to know the exact condition of the food we eat. Now, here’s a magic box for you, tells you the freshness of your milk, maybe not exactly, but definitely visually!

The innovative milk box indicates the freshness of your milk by changing into different colors. As time passes by, the white box will gradually change into dark orange. And when the milk box is totally orange, it means that the milk is expired. So, that’s the way you’ll know whether your milk is fresh or not. We all love bread and milk for breakfast, and now with this little magic box, this breakfast will be really perfection! But somehow, I know it’s weird but I just can’t help wondering, Will you drink the milk that makes the box half-Oranged? Never mind, just asking…

Craft Mug

February 01st, 2010

VanGogh MugUsually, we love elegant nice things in our life. We just want everything to be beautiful and graceful, but however, sometimes we do appreciate crafts which are usually feels a little rough. Our censorious eyes are strangely attracted by these rough crafts, mainly for its creative energy and the ideas constructed inside its shape, I guess.

And here’s this a little creepy mug, it was named “Dear Van Gogh” mug after the famous artist Van Gogh. However frankly, the mug has nothing to do with Van Gogh but the concept is rather intriguing. Designed by Mike Mak, the Dear Van Gogh is a silicon mug that features an ear-shaped flexible handle. The handle feels realistic and could be twisted or pulled hard as you want.

It looks really funny, even a little creepy, and the ear looks so real that reminds me of VanGogh’s cut down left ear, which I know is very scary and kind of too much bloody for water drinking! But the idea of twisting it sounds like a perfect way to release your anger, and that feels quite VanGogh-ish! So if I may, I think the real VanGogh would love the “Dear Van Gogh” mug, if only he had that chance.VanGogh twist Mug
