Classic Music Comes in An Extraordinary Machine

March 30th, 2010

Yamaha digital piano with LCDMusic, the language of all countries; piano, the instrument loved by all. We’ve seen a lot of nice pianos before, and I’m really not an expert on this subject, but today I’m going to tell you about a very special piano, the Yamaha digital piano with LCD.

For all those piano enthusiasts who have had a lot of fun playing the acoustic pianos all these centuries, there’s an improvement on the action and the piano sounds as the Yamaha Clavinova “CGP-1000″ marks it presence at the Musikmesse 2010. Featuring a LCD (640×480), a LAN terminal to download the desired content from internet along with a USB port to keep playing the recorded audio data, this digital piano has the perfect outline of a grand piano. However, to make such advancements on the piano would require a significant hike-up in the price, but the price is certainly worth it. Priced at $20,900, the Yamaha Clavinova “CGP-1000″ has outstanding quality and workmanship that creates a balance between novelty and practicality.

Something’s just always elegant whatever it looks or costs, piano is one thing that can always make us feel the elegance, and there’s even something more, this one is poised for pure pleasure, and I hope you like this.

The Funny Calendar

March 30th, 2010

Knitted Wall Calendar "Gregor"Oh, surprise surprise, do you like calendars? Sorry for this silly question, whether we like calendars or not, we kinda have to use one in life to make the dates clear in mind. And among all those calendars out there, we’ve seen calendars in paper, cloth, wood and some more maybe, but I assure you this knitted one will be a surprise in anyway.

The knitted wall calendar called ‘Gregor’ comes from German industrial designer Patrick Frey. At the first glance, it looks warm and cute, but a little normal, looks not that different compared with conventional ones. But when you want to leaf through the calendar, OMG, you need to unwind it stitch by stitch…That’s really interesting! And guess what, you’ll feel time passing by more strongly! Made from fiber, the knitted calendar will finally turn into a pile of thread.

Manufactured by Details Products + Ideas, ‘Gregor’ is currently available in the 2011 edition. It’s so lovely and cute, I definitely want one. And another exciting thing about this particular calendar is that you can make your own version, if you’re in some sort of knit club or you simply like knitting, not like me though…Enjoy :)

Art on Loudspeakers

March 28th, 2010

Elac Art-Edition speakersArt was considered something far away from everyday life,  but after years now, we pursue artful life! We love art and want our life to be elegant and beautiful, so we buy artful things to decorate our home so as to show our taste. Loudspeaker’s the last thing I would relate with art, I’ve seen elegant ones, but no artful one ever, but yet life surprises me again! Elac just unveiled its Art-Edition speakers for connoisseurs!

High-end audio is turning into art with now more attention paid to the design and finish of the cabinet besides the specs. Elac, the German audio manufacturer, has launched its Art-Edition loudspeakers at IFA, which are real design pieces with high gloss finish and attractive decorative motifs to complement plush interiors. The art series loudspeakers feature “decoration tattoos,” the foils are tissue-thin, UV-resistant and protect against scratches or water and are very durable. Depending on your personal style, you can select from tone-in-tone solutions, such as white matte motifs on high gloss white surfaces, or if you prefer a high-contrast staging can select for silver or dark gray tattoos on white high gloss or titan shadow speakers. And if the motifs no longer fit into your style, the tattoos can be removed. The highlight of the collection is a limited edition of their successful model FS 247 in the “De Stijl dress” which is inspired from the painter Piet Mondrian ELAC.

These extravagant speakers will appeal to wealthy music lovers and design connoisseurs alike, for whom exclusivity outweighs everything else. Really stunning, they truly will become the light spot in your house and totally show your high taste! Fantastic.

Feel The Luxury

March 24th, 2010

SabinoAprile's crocodile leather writing desksSo far as technologies go, we rely on these hi-tech things more and more, and as a result the need of convenience and multi-function become the most important thing we value. I don’t mean it’s wrong, actually I myself do such things too, it’s just kinda sad that we tend to put convenience beyond aesthetic, I think sometimes we really should value the traditional beauty even it’s not so convenient! Clearly I’m not the only one here, the Italian furniture designer SabinoAprile’s with me…

The hi-tech computer tables have slowly made the sophisticated writing desks a thing of past, but the Italian furniture designers SabinoAprile plans to change all that with their high-end office desks. SabinoAprile’s desks lineup features modern designs to complement any interiors, the most alluring of them are the Barcellona luxury and Flip luxury, both crafted in crocodile leather and fine wood with a base in mirror-polished stainless steel to recreate the classic feel. Barcellona luxury (top) can be further customized with a nickel gold frame to accentuate its luxurious looks.

SabinoAprile's crocodile leather writing desks Ribalta DeskWhile Flip luxury is the small angle study made and assembled by hand by skilled craftsmen in fine wood and base in polished stainless steel mirror. And, for the computer lovers, there’s the Ribalta Desk, which is specifically designed with the laptop user in mind, with a foldout design to provide ample space for work, and a storage area to slide the laptop away when not in use. And I take that back, who says this is inconvenient?!

Classic, traditional, elegant and with the modern design, these are really gorgeous desks that will truly improve our life standard!  And there’s many choices too, just take your pick to suit your needs from their wide catalog. And in case you ask, my pick would be the first one pictured up there, simple and elegant, totally my type.

Cute Box From Samsung

March 23rd, 2010

Shakeable MP3 Player from SamsungWhat a cute box! The pure bright color, the clear look, this is perfect for summer, totally cool. And what do you think this little box is? Ok, it’s a cute MP3 player, cut huh? I admit I do always love cute MP3 players, because you know, they’re cute, fashionable, and they bring nice music too, totally adorable! You can enjoy the little thing in anyway, it’s totally delightful to get such a cutie.

Well, this is the shakeable MP3 Player from Samsung named ‘TicToc’. Announced during Samsung’s CES press conference, the TicToc is believed to be a perfect alternative to Apple’s iPod Shuffle. Based on a built-in motion sensor, TicToc allows the users to change tunes by shaking the player slowly or quickly. The more slowly you shake the player, a much gentler music will be chosen, and vice versa.(But I’m really confused how this little machine’s going to know what music is gentle, or which one is intense.) There’s a big button on one end to control the volume and a headphone port on the other. Turn the button to face the ground when you want to decrease the volume and make sure the button faces up if you’d like to increase the volume. The Samsung TicToc could support MP3, WMA, OGG, and FLAC audio formats with 12 hours of battery life. It will soon be available in two versions (2GB and 4GB capacities) but still no words on price. Anyway, really a cute little thing I would love to have for the warmer season, looks pretty cool…

Breathing Pot, Keep Your Plant Alive

March 23rd, 2010

Breathing PotNowadays, life has been hard and busy, so we’d really appreciate some nice cute green plants at home. You know, they bring not only the pleasing green color, also a much healthier lifestyle! Having a plant at home is something that will really please you in anyway, mentally and physically.

So, the only problem remaining is how to keep your adorable plant alive! You shall know that’s no easy job, demanding schedules often occupy us today so that we sometimes have no time for other things like watering the plants, to be exact, sometimes we are just too busy to remember that. As a result, the busier you become, the sooner your plants die. That is really really a very sad thing, watch your plant die, it’s horrible! Actually that’s the main reason some people refuse to grow plants at home. Keep a living thing alive is the kind of job that only allows success, because otherwise it’ll become just too sad, so it is indeed hard to grow a plant. But the ‘Breathing Pot’ from Jae-Han Song seems like a clever solution to that problem. It simulates breathing, expanding and contracting all the time…until the water runs out. So when you find the pot stop ‘breathing’, it’s time to water the plant. Easy as that!

Yes, as it was said: Take the pot to the sunny place, and you will see ‘a life’ that starts breathing slowly! It absolutely more than just a ‘living’ pot, it also keeps your lovable plant alive, and then bring a lot life! Get the pot, start grow your plant…Breathing Pot working

Ahhh, By Bicycle…

March 22nd, 2010

Carbon Fiber Electric BikeDo I have to say this: I Love Bicycle! Living in a modern world like this we go everywhere in our little car, it’s understandably more convenient, faster, but meanwhile, we lost lots of fun and some exercise too. So I do love bicycle, that’s definitely not just a big toy for kids (though the truth is most bike users are kids or professional athlete). The transportation is admitted not as faster, but speed really isn’t that important compared to a healthier and more vigorous lifestyle!

This is one wisely designed gorgeous bicycle! If you need an electrical bicycle, or a lightweight bicycle and you might still need it to be eco-friendly? Well, what you want is rightly the Carbon Fiber Electric Bike by Ralf Kittmann. The concept bike adopts the carbon fiber—which is highly conductive—to take the place of wires as a power distribution network. So when the electricity is generated from the special electric installation built inside the frame, it will be transferred to power the motors between the rims and the lights. That energy will also be used to drive the system to turn the wheel, by using a counter-turning axel in lieu of gears and chains.

OK, this is it. Do you love it? It’s beautiful and elegant, and also eco-friendly, the only flaw I can find is that this can’t work manually, so if the electricity went out we’ll be stuck, and we’ll lose a lot of exercise while using this instead of a traditional bicycle. Nonetheless, sitting on a bicycle seat is already more exercise than sitting in your comfortable little car, and in addition, we can got much more fresh air on the way!Carbon Fiber Electric Bike in use

Yes, the big job of cleaning it remains to be very very tiring and annoying! NaviBot is the innovative Samsung vacuum robot designed for completely autonomous, everyday house cleaning. Looking sharp in the new Blue Mirror color with LED display, the technologically advanced robot vacuum is able to move over all kinds of flooring, including rugs and carpets, which means a lot to your gorgeous carpets. Using Visionary Mapping System for intelligent navigation around the house, NaviBot can take 30 pictures per second and create a virtual map, allowing to calculate the fastest and most secure cleaning path to avoid obstacles, holes and accidental falls, recognize stairs and steps – thanks to its 38 sensors. And the Samsung robot vacuum cleaner also features an innovative system for the collection of animal fur and hair, without the annoying accumulation of hair around the brushes.

Virtual Fence prevents NaviBot access to that specific area, while Virtual Guide maps the way to clean rooms. The vacuum also stores ordered parameters in memory.
