Platinum Nissan Z432 for Tomica’s 40th Anniversary

March 14th, 2010

platinum Nissan Fairlady Z432 for Tomica from Ginza TanakaWe all love cars to some extent, since we can’t buy many cars, toy cars become very popular with both children and adults. They’re quite adorable, and it’s really exciting to have so many cars we like! Among all these nice toy cars out there, this one must be the most exquisite and luxury one, it is actually a gift for Tomic’ 40th anniversary from Ginza Tanaka.

In horner of Tomica’s 40th anniversary, jeweler Ginza Tanaka dedicates itself to offer a one-of-a-kind replica of the toymaker’s die-cast 1970 Nissan Fairlady Z432. Demonstrating its artistic force, Ginza Tanaka with its blinged design sense has faithfully replicated the Z432 in platinum. Featuring the opening doors and the wheels that can spin (very gorgeous), the platinum Z432 is 7cm long and weighs 210 grams.

Well, how’s it look? I think this is the one toy car that will really make me scream like it’s a real one! And if it were to be made available for purchase (which it isn’t), it’s estimated worth is about $80,000. Even though, Japanese Nostalgic Car still jokes in its headline that even at that price, still cheaper than the real thing. As for this platinum gorgeous bauble, it’s being publicly shown at the Hong Kong International Jewelery Show this month.

How To Have A Luxurious Soak in Your Bathtub

March 10th, 2010

Deep Water BathAfter a day’s hard work, the most comfortable thing is to have a luxurious soak in your bathtub. This is very good for both our physical health and mental health, it helps your body and your mind to relax, release all day’s stress and fatigue! So it is quite important to have a nice bath, and here’s something that will increase your comfort.

A luxurious soak in the bathtub is so much better when you can sink all the way up to your chin. Use Deep Water Bath to override the overflow valve and you’ll get extra inches of water in the tub, and your bath will be much better!

Home decorating blog Apartment Therapy directed us to this cool gadget. It fits over your tub’s drain overflow valve to let the water rise nearly to the rim. The semi-plug has a drain hole at the top, though, so your tub won’t actually overflow. It’s removable, too, and easy to stash when not in use.

This little gadget is now out for grab at Amazon for around $7. Interesting, with this little gadget you can enjoy your bath even more, since there’s more water and all your body’s covered, it’ll be super comfortable, and thus you’ll be surprised at what a couple inches of water can do!

The idea’s simple, but really great, please share your own bathtime luxury tips in the comments.

‘Disco Light’ USB Stick

March 09th, 2010

Transparent USB Memory DiskLiving in a world of information, we can indeed use some help of these cute little guys, technically they were born to meet our needs of getting data on the go. But after so many of them were made, there comes a demand of more practical and beautiful ones. And then this is it, a transparent-colorful USB stick.

How can it be both transparent and colorful? Good question, let’s see! Inspired by Japanese Soma-Toh, Mac Funamizu has come up with the Funny USB Memory Stick that features an interesting and direct way to present its spare capacity. Compared with conventional USB memory disks needing to be connected to PC to show its usage conditions, this device presents its spare capacity with disco lights: no lights stand for “empty stick”, pink light for “images stored”, blue for “documents”, green for “movies” and “all lights are on ” for “full memory”. So this is it, when it’s empty it’s transparent, and it becomes colorful when data are stored! Very cool huh…

Beautiful and practical, this is exactly what we wanted! Just hope they’ll come up with a big stomach!
