A Shoe Fish Tank

May 31st, 2010

Nike78 Shoe AquariumNike shoes are comfortably wonderful, and we all have a pair or more. But this Nike78 is totally different from all shoes you’ve ever seen, it is now a fish tank! Since we all love little pets, and fishes need less attention, so keeping some little fishes at home is a nice idea, and usually we’re OK with those round fish tanks, but a beautifully designed distinctive fish tank is always welcomed.

See what happens when Nike shoes are modified into beautiful works of art…Designed by a Tokyo-based advertising company Wieden+Kennedy for Nike78 project, the shoe aquarium is truly remarkable. Just as Nike78’s slogan says, this unique shoe aquarium has “challenged the function of a pair of Nike shoes”. Yes, sport is also an important inspiration, and we all love it.
Nike78 Shoe Aquarium 1Well, how do you like the Nike78 shoe aquarium?

Concept Bike Made of Plastic

May 27th, 2010

Izzy Plastic Urban Bike ConceptToday we’re going to talk about bikes, the little two-wheeled transportation we love. As we all know, the conventional bicycles are made of metals (like iron, steel, or some others), as cars are basically made of metals too, so we then assumed that bikes have to be made of metals, other wise they wouldn’t be strong enough to holder us. Well, now is the time to change your mind, because the Izzy Plastic Urban Bike is on the way.

“Made of plastic” is not the only characteristic of the Izzy Plastic Urban Bike, a collaborative project between Omer Sagiv and Uri Sadeh. One would expect a fragile vehicle but the bike is actually quite firm to bear the weight of two adults (quite impressive huh?). Best of all, its frame is recyclable, which means that you can have the damaged frame replaced at the store. To top off the cool concept, the bike also incorporates 2 free standing locking systems, three-dimensional illumination, and the integrated rear suspension.

But does the “completely plastic design” also means the bikes could be easily burned to ashes? Hopefully not.

Anyway, the bike looks great and the recyclable plastic is a meaningful nice design. Let’s just wait to see this bike hit the market soon, and looking for some more details.

Beautiful Scissors

May 26th, 2010

Innovative Scissor From Spencer NugentHousehold is all about little gadgets, they make boring household life a little more interesting and enjoyable! So I like to post about interesting little gadgets, and also unique designs, because they make my life joyful. Well, not just gadgets, innovative designs are welcomed everywhere, life will be unimaginably boring if without them, so now let’s have a look at this innovative scissor from Spencer Nugent.

“Some designs are so fundamentally perfect, that there’s no point in trying to improve them, such as the bikes and the scissors.” That’s really what I used to say. But I should never say things so absolute, and then it’s time for the scissors to show their improvements. The new product comes from San-Francisco-based Spencer Nugent. As shown in the pictures, its main feature is a flat bottom which stays still while the top blade bouncing up and down.

Well, the conventional scissors are good enough, but this one is more beautiful, don’t you think? And a bit difference, life needs difference!

Wake Up Pillow

May 25th, 2010

Stretching ClockI love little gadgets as you might all know, and cute alarm clocks are always welcomed in my house, but unfortunately they usually never do their job properly. Either too noisy, or too easy to turn off, or something else, they just never really wake me up and make me feel good about the new day at the meanwhile. So they’re cute, but not really useful to me, and I’m hoping this Stretching Clock will be really helpful.

From now on, the first thing you should do in the morning is to fully stretch yourselves, because only by that means you can turn off the sounding alarm! Designed by Seung-hee Ryu, the cute ‘Stretching’ is a clever combination of a soft pillow and a firm clock, which will do its best to pull the users out of their sweet dream by asking them to stretch their arms. Being a lazy person who cannot wake up from deep slumber, this clock I think would be perfect for me!
Stretching Clock 1This is interesting, and by stretching my body to wake me up is quite funny and practical. But I’m just concerned that with a noisy alarm clock shouting right under my head would really make me crazy maybe, so this clock will still have to be tested before I can recommend it to you guys.

The Toilet Eats Coins!

May 23rd, 2010

Flushing Toilet BankOf all those toilets we’ve talked before, this one is definitely the weirdest, because it eats coins! Well, as you can see from the photo, this is not a real toilet, it’s a toilet shaped toy, a coin bank to exact, but to me, this is more like a “coin for sound” machine. Weird and cute, let’s take a closer look at it: the Flushing Toilet Bank.

Of all crazes, the craze to hear the sound of coins dropping into a metal box is one of the oddest. That’s really weird, but no more so than the craze to hear flushing sound. Simply put a coin into the toilet, press the lever and then you’ll hear authentic flushing sound effects as you see the money disappear!

So you like the Flushing Toilet Bank? Want to put in coins to hear the flushing sound? And this will cost you $23.98 to get one of these weird gadgets, still like it? Well, maybe someone just love the sound so much that is willing to pay for it…

The Versatility of Toilet Paper Core

May 21st, 2010

Toilet Paper Core Used As A MemoYes, today we’re going to talk about toilet paper core, remember these garbages you used to throw in the trash can? Well, now there’s a quite unique toilet paper core that is actually useful and you would not want to throw away, instead, you might want to carry it on the go. OK, let’s see how different this Toilet Paper Core is.

Who would ever consider recycling the toilet paper core except for Kim Ji-eun? I mean, the designer is quite unusual, but still ingenious. The Day Re Toilet Roll comes with a creative core that can unfold into a memo pad when you pull the sticker on it. But do we really need such a design? You are the one to decide.

Me? I totally love the design! It’s cute, and good for me, and good for the earth. I definitely want these interesting toilet paper to hit the market soon, and go and grab some, for the earth and for me too. :)

Interesting Bulb that Lights Up Each Other

May 18th, 2010

Infectious LightI love cute lights, they give my life not just light but also many fun and cuteness. So I’ve introduced quite some very interesting lights in my earlier posts, and today I am going to show you these new cute infectious lights, this is actually many cute bulbs being together and makes a great and funny light.

Infectious Light is a modular lighting system made up of several battery-run light bulbs that could sense and react to each other. These bulbs gotta light up one by one when you bring the “mother” light closer to the “baby” lights, and the project takes the very name “Infectious Light” simply from that act.

The designer has also created a kind of luminous tree for these soft spheres, to solve the problem of charging.

Infectious Light 1Too bad this thing doesn’t come with any price details, but we’ve already seen that these stylish and cute lights would give your homes a refreshing look.

So, how do you feel about this fabulous light tree? Well, I think it is really incredibly cute, definite want to get one as soon as this hits the market.Infectious Light 2
