Cute Pots with a Fun Mouth Expression

July 15th, 2010

Mouth PotsEverybody loves cute gadgets, and these Mouth Pots are totally adorable to me! They’re fun with a cute expression! And they’re quite useful too, you can use them as a sugar can, or a vase, or anything you want, the little mouth is cute anyway!

Wanna a big meal? Well, these creative pots designed by Thelermont Hupton would like to join you, too. Each of them comes with an expressive and animated face, simulating people’s various facial expressions of eating, growling or yawning, and that’s really interesting!

Although they havenot hit the market yet, but the good news is that these pots will make their first appearance at 100% Design in London September 23-26, 2010, and you can see them for real then.

Running Chairs for Chair Racing!

July 14th, 2010

running chairsSo many funny chairs we’ve seen, not one of them can run on their own, but now I believe I’ve found one such fun chair! The Spiral Spring Chair with a wind up system can now really run on its own, even good for a racing game! Run, chairs, Run!

Thanks to Yu Kwang Soo and the Spiral Spring Chair, we may create a new game—chair racing. Similar to common wind up toys, the seating is also powered by wind up system. Simply turn the dial to tighten the internal spring mechanism, release the spring, and you’ll have these cute chairs run forward.

This is totally fun! So how do you like the Spiral Spring Chair? Want a game now? I would love it more if it can carry me on while running… :)

The Safest Power Strip Ever!

July 13th, 2010

Waterproof Power StripAs we now have so many electronic appliances at home,  and also we get new ones often, so the plugs on our wall can never be enough, nor in the right place we needed, so power strips are very necessary to our daily life. And for our own safety and especially for our kids’ safety, we have to make sure that we buy real safe power strip.

As for what is a safe power strip, a safe power strip should at least conform to the following two requirements: electric shock resistant and water resistant. Therefore the Wet Circuits Power Strip is just a safe power strip. It is designed to work under water, so you will neither get shocked when carelessly sticking your wet fingers into the holes nor cause burns if accidentally spilling water or coffee onto the strip. Moreover, the power strip will still be safe even if you stick a metal object into the outlet when the device is operating under running water!

I actually have no idea that power strips can be waterproof, the Wet Circuits is really the safest power strip I’ve ever seen!

Double Duty Fork

July 11th, 2010

Knock, knife and forkWe use knife and fork everyday to have our meals, and most of us are really used to this knife + fork thing, however someone are apparently no fond of this, so they come up with an idea of combine the two together! Yes, let’s see the Knork.

Personally I don’t think it’s a nice idea to combine the knife and fork into one eating utensil, because you’ll still have to use the other hand to hold the food while one of the hands is busy with the Knork. So why not just leave those two utensils in different hands? But for people who love double-duty items, the Knork is indeed attractive. It contains no sharp edges, so you needn’t worry that you’ll accidentally cut your mouth open.

So, this is it. It is really a nice fork if you just love double duty things, but for people like me, usual forks are just good enough.

Ready to Mill

July 05th, 2010

Y-Grinder kitchen gadgetOK, look at the picture above, and tell me what’s this.

Well, this is a Y-shaped gadget, and it looks cute. So can you figure out what this really is, and what purpose it is used for? Hah, well think, and you can find the answer right after the break.

It is Y-Grinder, a design for kitchen brand Joseph Joseph. It has two chambers, each of which is controlled by a handle to respectively mill and offer salt and pepper. Though the concept behinds the Y-Grinder is simple, the device is quite useful and it has got the Winner of Red Dot Award 2010 and Design Plus.

Well, have you figured that out? Anyway, I think this will be really cute standing in your kitchen, don’t you think?
