Clothes washing, we do it almost everyday, but exercise, we always have too much excuses to not do it. But now it seems no excuse to avoid exercise any more with this new washing machine. Called the Pedal Powered Washing Machine, it exclaims that “No Exercise, No Clean Clothes!”

You’ll never pick up any clean clothes from the washing machine unless you take exercise. That’s what we may have to face when China based electronics company Haier launches its Pedal-Powered Washing Machines in the future. Shown at IFA 2010, the eco machine is really simple but practical: the charging battery will power the machine to wash clothes when a man pedals on the exercise bike. And you don’t have to spare too much time, as basically 20 minutes of work can wash one load of clothes on cold cycle.

I think the idea’s actually great, now there’s a pretty good reason everyday to take exercise! Since the human-powered washing machine would save your money and keep your figure, will it be taken back to your home?

Looks like a defibrillator, but with a quite weird shape. Well, would you guess that it is a defibrillator? Or, something else?

OK, perhaps you are right, this is a defibrillator, but can this defibrillator be used for other purposes? Well let’s check it out.

Haha…now you see, this is a really fun toaster. Actually the device is designed as a toaster to “revive your old bread.” just like the defibrillator will do to our body. Just as what the designer Shay Carmon has thought, it proves funny to combine bread toasting with a defibrillator. This is fun, I love toasters!

But sadly the toaster is merely a concept by far, so you cannot find the Toaste/E/R in stores. Nevertheless, there’s still hope this will finally come to production, let’s not lose hope.

Well, digital cameras are now very popular, almost everyone has one of their own. While for many professional photographers most digital cameras are just not good enough because they don’t want to be overly relied on the machine, for some non-professional people like us they’re still not good enough for we really know almost nothing about photography so we really do want to rely on the machine to take some real nice photos. So for the many of us, the Nadia Digital Camera shows the aesthetic qualities of photos.

Digital cameras no longer merely shows what you’ve shot, they also evaluate the aesthetic qualities of your photos. Created by Andrew Kupresanin, the Nadia digital camera is a boxed up Nokia N73 that communicates with a Mac over Bluetooth and it judges your recent photos based on the ACQUINE Aesthetic Quality Inference Engine. Though Nadia is just a prototype at the present, most people are expecting that the innovative camera would help them to make a good photograph.

This might be nothing for the professionals, but terrific for you and me maybe. Well I just don’t really trust the ACQUINE, guess we’ll have to wait to see if this really works, and if it does, there might be much more fun taking pictures on a trip ever after.

Cars are quite a very important part of our life, we actually depend on it to take us to our destinations almost everyday. Cars are a very convenient transportation, but lately we hear more and more about global warming and other environmental problems that was largely caused by our cars, so we now seek some more eco-friendly cars to make peace with nature.

Then this Three-wheeled Peugeot Velocite might be a really good choice to maintain the balance between protecting nature and keep travel conveniently.

Now if you know three-wheeled cars, they’re usually ugly and not very eco-friendly, then this one is no conventional three-wheeled car.

Developed by Juan Carlos for the year 2020, the “Peugeot Velocite” has borrowed a cool shape of the sports cars but actually runs on three wheels, making the electric vehicle different from all others. It is also eco-friendly, powered by low-resistance electric motor and offers zero emission. When running downhill, the Velocite will recharge its onboard batteries automatically. Plus, the concept still features a motorcycle-like suspension setup with a single swing-arm for easy controls.

I actually love the cool shape, and the small size is quite adorable and useful. This must be the coolest three-wheeled car ever. Too bad this thing is just a concept now, and obviously we have to wait for years to see this hit the market.

Today we’re going to talk about bikes, the little two-wheeled transportation we love. As we all know, the conventional bicycles are made of metals (like iron, steel, or some others), as cars are basically made of metals too, so we then assumed that bikes have to be made of metals, other wise they wouldn’t be strong enough to holder us. Well, now is the time to change your mind, because the Izzy Plastic Urban Bike is on the way.

“Made of plastic” is not the only characteristic of the Izzy Plastic Urban Bike, a collaborative project between Omer Sagiv and Uri Sadeh. One would expect a fragile vehicle but the bike is actually quite firm to bear the weight of two adults (quite impressive huh?). Best of all, its frame is recyclable, which means that you can have the damaged frame replaced at the store. To top off the cool concept, the bike also incorporates 2 free standing locking systems, three-dimensional illumination, and the integrated rear suspension.

But does the “completely plastic design” also means the bikes could be easily burned to ashes? Hopefully not.

Anyway, the bike looks great and the recyclable plastic is a meaningful nice design. Let’s just wait to see this bike hit the market soon, and looking for some more details.

At a time of informations, we all have some documents or other e-stuff we need to carry on the go, therefore, flash drives are now very popular, we all use one or two almost everyday. They literally made communication much easier and enjoyable, we can really share many things when we want to. But along with the convenience comes a quite big problem too.

That is your flash drives may not be so clean as you connected it to many different devices at many different places, and that means if you connect your flash drives to your own device, it might be harmful to your hardware. That’s tricky and kinda horrible, but don’t worry, here’s a solution, the U + USB Hub and Disk Scanner will safeguard your hardware.

It’s the right time to safeguard your hardware in a more effective way…And one of the new solutions is put forward by Wu Jiang, a Chinese designer who advocates scanning the flash drives to ensure there’s no virus before you connect them to the computers. The name of his design is the “U+ USB Hub and Disk Scanner”, and it will work in tandem with the popular virus protection software to ensure the virus infection doesn’t spread. But at present, it is still a concept, and we may have to wait for years to see the creative gadget on the market.

Well, this sounds really nice and the design is quite beautiful, so let’s just wait till this actually hit the market, and get one as soon as we can. For now, we have to be careful ourselves…

With the Earth Day driving closer and closer, the voice of “saving the world” becomes louder and clearer, I guess this is the time we should really be more enthusiastic over these eco-friendly projects as a consumer or a manufacturer alike! On the other hand, cars, the transportation we use almost everyday, is mainly responsible the the global warming problem. As we all aware of that, we’re really glad to see the eco-friendly project in the car industry gradually taking progress. The little “Bug” here looks really nice!

As the cities get more crowded and polluted, numerous automakers and designers are trying to tackle the problem of moving people around efficiently while not using materials that are harmful to the environment. And so is the Brazilian designer Ricardo Fedrizzi, who has recently sent in the images of his “Bug” concept mini car. It is a two-seater auto that is designed to go on a charge, making it a zero emission car for the city. Another point worth noting is the recyclable and renewable materials used to make the body of the car, which greatly reduces the vehicle’s weight. Besides, Fedrizzi’s concept also features an aerodynamic shape to maximize its performance.

Pity that it is only a concept at present and we may have to wait for days (if luckily, you know sometimes it takes months, even years)to see the practical car hit the market. But still this is a big progress, I’m really looking forward to the real one.

Do I have to say this: I Love Bicycle! Living in a modern world like this we go everywhere in our little car, it’s understandably more convenient, faster, but meanwhile, we lost lots of fun and some exercise too. So I do love bicycle, that’s definitely not just a big toy for kids (though the truth is most bike users are kids or professional athlete). The transportation is admitted not as faster, but speed really isn’t that important compared to a healthier and more vigorous lifestyle!

This is one wisely designed gorgeous bicycle! If you need an electrical bicycle, or a lightweight bicycle and you might still need it to be eco-friendly? Well, what you want is rightly the Carbon Fiber Electric Bike by Ralf Kittmann. The concept bike adopts the carbon fiber—which is highly conductive—to take the place of wires as a power distribution network. So when the electricity is generated from the special electric installation built inside the frame, it will be transferred to power the motors between the rims and the lights. That energy will also be used to drive the system to turn the wheel, by using a counter-turning axel in lieu of gears and chains.

OK, this is it. Do you love it? It’s beautiful and elegant, and also eco-friendly, the only flaw I can find is that this can’t work manually, so if the electricity went out we’ll be stuck, and we’ll lose a lot of exercise while using this instead of a traditional bicycle. Nonetheless, sitting on a bicycle seat is already more exercise than sitting in your comfortable little car, and in addition, we can got much more fresh air on the way!

Cars are very important in our daily life now, for we really need that transportation to live in a city these days. Go through history you can certainly see the changes in car design. But what the future car would look like? We all have our own picture in mind, but still that’s the question no one can really tell until it actually comes out eventually.

Nevertheless, many manufacturers are trying to show us their idea. Here’a preview of one future car style with this Sergio Luna’s ‘2028 One’ car. Coming from the Michelin Challenge Design 2010, ‘2028 One’ is a single-seater for inter-city transportation. Based on the Segway mechanism, the lightweight vehicle is compact enough for an easy driving. Though it adopts a joystick, the car could also be entirely controlled by a computer.

Well, is this your idea of how the personal vehicle would look like in the future? Anyway, looks fun and beautiful line, but I really concerned about my luggages or shopping stuff, seems too small for those. Somehow I’ve got a really weird feeling that if they make a toy car like this, it’ll definitely sell! I would love to buy one!

Believed by their designer Barend, those impressive logos should be emphasized more since they’re the most effective way to interpret the vehicles. How do you like them?
