Fun Drum to Bring Light

July 29th, 2010

Drum LightLove music? Love to play a drum? Well, I’m not actually a music lover, but even I sometimes do like to tap on a drum, that’s quite interesting, and if that’s going to light up my room, then it’ll be like awesome! Thanks to the Drum Light, now let’s play the drum for light! Wow…

What would happen when you tap the drum? You’ll hear pleasant music? Maybe. Or possibly you’ll see a light turns on. Designed for music enthusiasts, the Drum Light aims to delight the user with light rather than music. So every time you tap the drum, the light will turn on and with another tap, it then turns off. But you needn’t worry that the Drum Light will be activated by other sound, because the light also comes with a sensitivity control to manage the noises.

This is fun, and nice bright light too. What’s more, the drum can be turned around so you can manage you light to face different directions, and that’s quite practical, love it, tap fun!

Ready for Dalek to Patrol Your Desk

June 28th, 2010

Doctor Who Red DalekAre you a Doctor Who fan? Well, I am, so I usually love Doctor Who accessories, say the Tadis iPhone case. And what else iconic character you can recall of Doctor Who? Dalek, of course. So just get ready for the Doctor Who Red Dalek to patrol your desk and exterminate!

Only a few weeks ago we were told that a recent episode of Doctor Who showed off the Daleks in their spiffy new colors. We laughed it off as perhaps some kind of inside joke, but it looks like these new color Daleks are final. We just spotted a new robot Dalek desk accessory that looks just like the red Dalek of that episode. The red Dalek patrols your desktop never falling off or bumping into anything when on a flat surface. If it detects an edge or danger of falling off, it will turn and continue its patrolling. At each turn the Dalek will exclaim “Exterminate!” If you don’t want it to speak while it roams your desk, you can always shut the sound off.

The Doctor Who Red Desktop Patrol Dalek retails for $35.99. Well, this is a funny toy, and a nice decoration too, I like the little violator.

Tornado Inside a Vase

June 17th, 2010

Tourbillon Vortex VaseFlowers can make a really nice scene inside our house, and most of them smells really good too, so we all love flowers and we love to put some at home, then we’ll need some nice vase to keep them right? We’ve seen quite a lot conventional vases already, some of which are indeed very nice, but somehow they sometimes are just not good enough.

Now if you are looking for some artful vase for your artful home, then you might want to check this Tourbillon Vortex Vase out. There’s a tornado inside the vase, and this is really amazing!

Tornado and vase seem to be unrelated to each other at all. But the French design studio A+A cooren has proved they do have some relevance, with the Tourbillon Vortex Vase. It has two parts, an inner vessel that is shaped like a spiraling vortex and a small cup on the bottom to receive the water.

The vase is made of borosilicate glass and comes in a limited edition of 21 pieces, so if you really love this you will have to act fast.

Totem Cups to Add American Feel to Your Home

June 16th, 2010

Totem CupsCups, we use everyday, Totem cups, I’ve never seen before. Although I do have seen those Totem Poles of the ancient time, and I actually have thought about buying some small statues that looks like them to decorate my home. But Totem cups, I really haven’t thought about that. Yet, they come pretty popular on the internet.

Stunning ceramic stacking cups inspired by the traditional Native American Totem Pole have been quite popular on the internet recently. Not merely for containing water, but also for decorating your stylish home! Also available in gold and silver. Each set includes four cups.

Well, totally more than just cups, very nice decoration, don’t you think so?

Keep a Firefly for The Sake of A Romantic Summer Night

June 10th, 2010

Firefly Nest LampSummer is here, and I can still recall when I was young, I used to lie down on the grass with my families in summer, and then when the night comes I was always happy to see those little shinning bugs flying around. I even see them flying outside my bedroom window, and I used to fall asleep watching these lights.

However after I grew I moved to the city, and I barely see them ever after, so I actually miss them, and I miss my childhood too I guess. Well, anyway, now we have this Firefly’s Nest Lamp to hold some fireflies inside our urban house, thanks to science.

Also known as “Geometric Romance”, the lamp from Tommaso Gecchelin aims to bring you back to the romantic summer nights when the fireflies were flying around you. Yaps, romance, that’s this is all about, that’s the most important point you may find with the lamp, and another feature the device has is high tech. It is filled with electronic fluid that is moved by a pump, and powered by a wireless system located in the base. Moreover, you can touch the lamp to change the color of the light! That’s awesome!

Those summer nights I really miss. The lamp obviously can’t bring all the fun and happiness those fireflies have brought me, but they might be a quite nice comfort, right?

Travelling at Home

June 09th, 2010

Land CarpetFeel a little boring at home? Want to take a walk to Europe, or Africa maybe? But you don’t enough time for the travelling right, don’t worry, here’s some decoration for your home to make travelling a lot easier and more convenient too – the Land Carpet.

No more difficult trekking, you could simply stand on a carpet to admire the beautiful sceneries of Europe, Africa, the Netherlands and the United States. Designed by Florian Pucher, these Land Carpets are made from 100 percent New Zealand Wool and feature birds-eye-views of those four locations.

Well, maybe not as joyful as real travelling, but surely there’s some other enjoyable fun the real travelling cannot provide. And I really love the design, to me the carpet itself is good enough.

The Beautiful Moving Lamps

June 06th, 2010

Waxy Tower Motion LampsWhat make your house more comfortable and beautiful like a home is your families of course, but besides that, nice house decorations are also very helpful. And no decorations are as creative and versatile as nice lamps, so here it is the Waxy Tower Motion Lamps will totally light up your home with light and fun, and beauty too.

Well, let’s say Hellos to the creative Waxy Tower Motion Lamps! It’s black, it’s pink, and it’s a decorative lamp that shows how the lava flows when heated with the heat produced by an incandescent bulb.

Priced at $67.77, the lamps are currently available on Amazon. These lamps are indeed very beautiful and kinda romantic, but I don’t think just one of these is enough to create the mood, so I’ll simply take two or more.

The Light of A Flower

June 01st, 2010

Blooming LampIn a whole year, I find most people love spring the best, generally because of all these beautiful flowers out there. Yes, we all love flowers, for they’re beautiful, they smells good, and they represent nature and life. So we sometimes grow flowers inside our house too, but flowers can’t bloom forever, although we understand that’s how it works in nature, but still we feel sad when they’re gone.

So then there comes lots of artificial flowers that never wither and fall, and among all those I love this “Bloom Lamp” the most. Just see how light comes out of a flower, and how a lamp blooms!

Those who love the nature would love everything that reminds them of the wonderful creations of the nature, too. And that’s possibly the main reason why we love the “Bloom Lamp” designed by Patrick Jouin. Yaps, the lamp has simulated a beautiful flower—when in use, it gradually transforms from a bud to a blooming flower to release the light; and when not in use, the lamp then closes its petals to regain the shape of the bud.

Well, I’d love to have such a “bright” flower at home, do you?
