KitchenAid refrigerator freezer and wine cabinet with humidorRefrigerator is like one of the most important things in our kitchen. We might be able to live a few days without a cook top, but we really can’t live without a refrigerator, I mean, where to preserve our favorite food if without that?! Well, I really can’t imagine my life in that way. And for those who enjoy some drinking, a wine cabinet is quite necessary too. So the KitchenAid refrigerator freezer and wine cabinet with humidor will be a good choice for us.

Modern stainless steel design and carefully thought-out features are married with the exclusive commercial-grade functionality and performance. The wine cabinet of the KitchenAid KRBV 9710 brings exclusive design with thoughtful details displayed within the toned, UV-protected glass door. The inside is dark for a complete UV protection. The six pull-out wooden shelves are engineered to mute vibration to preserve the aroma and flavour of your wines, allowing them to mature properly. It also contains a separate, temperature-controlled tray for fresh fish and meat that should be stored at low but not too cold temperature. The 153 liter pull-out freezer drawer lets you observe quickly what is available inside. No Frost system checks and controls the air flow, humidity and temperature, preventing frost and ice formation, and saving energy. The Fast Freezing function rapidly freezes down massive quantities of food. Other features are electronic temperature and humidity controls, Vacation Mode, door open alarm, stainless steel egg and butter trays, EasyClean stainless steel with scratch-resistant finish, interior light and reversible doors.

Price for the KitchenAid KRBV 9710 is approximately € 11,000. Well, pricey but gorgeous, versatile and functional, let’s just hope that one day in the near future it will become more affordable.

“Lift Oven” for life

January 26th, 2010

Gaggenau OvenWomen love baking, it feels really awesome every time we made out some delicious cookies, not to mention a nice cake! We love the sweet smell and the wonderful mouthfeel of different cookies and cakes, and indeed we enjoy making such beautiful food, seriously! But what is this always standing in the way, driving us away from baking?

The oven! Of course, most of us have been injured or failed to make nice food due to a terrible oven. Here’s an example, every time you open the oven door, some heat escapes, which is one of the many reasons that baking times can vary from person-to-person for the same recipe, as there is no telling from a writer’s standpoint how long a person will leave his or her oven door open while trying to fit in cake pans and baking sheets, and this is sometimes why you can’t make out the right cake or cookie you’re suppose to. Now, the famous kitchen manufacturer Gaggenau has come up with an absolutely gorgeous oven that tries to solve this problem. The “Lift Oven” is built to utilize the fact that heat rises and, instead of having a door that opens on the front of the oven, it has a base that lowers to open and raises to close – leaving the hot air in the preheated oven above. Better yet, the manufacturer suggests mounting this oven above the counter, so the platform comes down to your level for loading and unloading and completely eliminating the need to bend down or to reach into a hot oven, therefore much less burnt! The oven opens and closes at the touch of a button, and Gaggenau says that it has 11 different heating methods, including a convection setting. It also has a glass-ceramic base, which you can put cookies, breads, pizzas and other baked goods on – no baking sheet required.

However, the only real drawbacks are the the oven is only 24 inches (many out there are larger, so it might not be idea for very large roasts, etc.) and it comes up with a quite astonishing price tag of $4,000. Well, Let’s say, there are plenty of ovens that are even more expensive, and this is still a great oven with wise design.

Liebherr refrigerator combo

December 27th, 2009

refrigerator

Liebherr refrigerator combo-SBSes 7053 series  is a exquisite machine, I’ve never had the idea that a refrigerator could ever be so big, yet elegant! Now, Let’s see!

The unique combination of Liebherr refrigerator, matching freezer and wine cabinet makes one nice refrigeration unit. If the kitchen space is sparse, you can’t go wrong with this stainless steel side-by-side Liebherr refrigerator design. Digital control panel, five different climate zones, dual-temperature wine cabinet, no-frost freezer with ice maker and refrigerator compartment. Bio-fresh compartment allows longer storage times and keep the food fresh by controlling the humidity and lowering the temperature. Very energy efficient. The price is £2,875 or $5,288 depends on the dimensions of the machine.

Wow! I mean it’s really magnificent and really really expensive, at least for me. So limited by my finacial condition I’ll just watch and admire its glamour. As for you guys, I do recommend this if you had money and if you had such many different things to store in the refrigerator!

Electrolux “Wow”: Black charm

December 24th, 2009

Electrolux WowSomehow we’re all used to white appliance partly because there’re all white, silver ones in the market I guess. And sometimes I just want to try something new, but can’t find! Have you ever went through this? Well here comes some real fresh air from Electrolux.

Electrolux really takes its War on White very seriously. This is another example of beautiful black design. Kinda odd but I love it! Few people will set the refrigerator together with washer and dryer, but in this case, it looks perfectly balanced.

So now you really have some new stuff for your home, and it’s not white at all. This might be the start of some significant change!
