Toy Guardian to Guard Toys for Your Kids

July 20th, 2010

Toy GuardianHave a kid at home? Never managed to clear up the piles of toys that was left here and there all over the house? It really is hard being a parent, and I’m here to help! Yes, with this cute dog shaped Toy Guardian you kids will love to put their toys away by themselves happily. Amazing right? Let’s how this works.

Tzung-Yu Lu has designed the Toy Guardian as a new alternative to toy boxes. It is a monster on wheels, moving around the rooms to “eat” up all the toys and return them to the kids when they’re needed. And still, the box itself is a cute toy!

So now you know why your kids would love to do the clear job for you, hah… In case you don’t know, the Toy Guardian is actually a 2010 IDEA Design Winner. I really love the cute design, much better than a tame toy box!

Ready for Dalek to Patrol Your Desk

June 28th, 2010

Doctor Who Red DalekAre you a Doctor Who fan? Well, I am, so I usually love Doctor Who accessories, say the Tadis iPhone case. And what else iconic character you can recall of Doctor Who? Dalek, of course. So just get ready for the Doctor Who Red Dalek to patrol your desk and exterminate!

Only a few weeks ago we were told that a recent episode of Doctor Who showed off the Daleks in their spiffy new colors. We laughed it off as perhaps some kind of inside joke, but it looks like these new color Daleks are final. We just spotted a new robot Dalek desk accessory that looks just like the red Dalek of that episode. The red Dalek patrols your desktop never falling off or bumping into anything when on a flat surface. If it detects an edge or danger of falling off, it will turn and continue its patrolling. At each turn the Dalek will exclaim “Exterminate!” If you don’t want it to speak while it roams your desk, you can always shut the sound off.

The Doctor Who Red Desktop Patrol Dalek retails for $35.99. Well, this is a funny toy, and a nice decoration too, I like the little violator.

Platinum Nissan Z432 for Tomica’s 40th Anniversary

March 14th, 2010

platinum Nissan Fairlady Z432 for Tomica from Ginza TanakaWe all love cars to some extent, since we can’t buy many cars, toy cars become very popular with both children and adults. They’re quite adorable, and it’s really exciting to have so many cars we like! Among all these nice toy cars out there, this one must be the most exquisite and luxury one, it is actually a gift for Tomic’ 40th anniversary from Ginza Tanaka.

In horner of Tomica’s 40th anniversary, jeweler Ginza Tanaka dedicates itself to offer a one-of-a-kind replica of the toymaker’s die-cast 1970 Nissan Fairlady Z432. Demonstrating its artistic force, Ginza Tanaka with its blinged design sense has faithfully replicated the Z432 in platinum. Featuring the opening doors and the wheels that can spin (very gorgeous), the platinum Z432 is 7cm long and weighs 210 grams.

Well, how’s it look? I think this is the one toy car that will really make me scream like it’s a real one! And if it were to be made available for purchase (which it isn’t), it’s estimated worth is about $80,000. Even though, Japanese Nostalgic Car still jokes in its headline that even at that price, still cheaper than the real thing. As for this platinum gorgeous bauble, it’s being publicly shown at the Hong Kong International Jewelery Show this month.

Building Blocks, Toy Man

March 08th, 2010

Toy,wooden block setsWhat’s the most creative toy? Building blocks, of course! To some extent, we all have a thing for architecture, but obviously not all of us can finally become a real architect, so how to fulfill our dream? Yes, that’s why we need building blocks in the first place, mankind is meant to build things and building blocks can help you bring creativity to life!

This block set we’re introducing here is something more! Remember the scene: A little boy is piling up his building blocks, and the moment he finished his work, the building collapsed. Bad luck. But now, no more need to feel bad about the traditional building blocks that easily collapse, here’s the Tegu sets, improved wooden building blocks that are built with magnets. Therefore the blocks will stick firmly to one another, allowing the kids to build anything they’d like. Simple but really genius!

We’re meant to construct, not destroy! Now, with these amazing magnetic building blocks we can create many interesting things, they can even be artful decorations, more wonderfully, they can always be reconstruct when you want to! How great is that!
