Apart from the young beauties, the ceramic molded cup designed by Israeli student Sharona Merlin also wants to have a good figure, and it does look slim! Hailed “Slim Cup”, the new coffee cup appears like a typical coffee cup from one side, but almost disappears when turned 90 degrees. Except the ceramic cup, Sharona Merlin is also working on designing other slim ceramics tableware so as to help the consumers see “the way things get slimmer as technology moves forward”.

Slim, thy ambition is worldly! Now even coffee cups are so slim, but despite the fact that I do love the interesting looking of this cup, I really doubt it could ever serve as a nice coffee cup. Do you want to drink coffee from such a slim weird coffee cup?

With no handle, the new coffee cup designed by Emi Schenkelbach asks you to hold it in hands so as to give you warmth during the cold winter. Or you can just leave it float over the plate that comes along, and hold the plates’ handles instead. Finished in ceramics and walnut shell, the coffee cup looks so elegant and smart that you may even mistaken it as an art piece, but it’s actually practical for frequent use.
