Hide Your Table

July 25th, 2010

wall mount tablesEvery home needs some creativity, that’s the idea of life, and that’s the fun of householding. So as we can never get enough room at home, we’re always looking for ways to make good use of our limited space at home, and that’s why these interesting tables are made for you. Look! My tables can fold into the wall!

Tables are needed furniture but they’re usually also bulky, so you have to dedicate quite a large amount of space to them. And that’s why tables and especially the long tables are often tough to fit in small apartments. Except these tables created by Ochre. The designers solved that problem by folding the tables into the wall when they’re not in use, therefore offering you a spacious room for other activities. When you want a table, just pull them out of the wall and you can use them as a dining table or a work bench.

Hah…This is really fun, and I’d totally love to have tables like this! Do you?

Time for Picnic

June 27th, 2010

OASIS Folding Table and ChairsEvery summer is joyful, but this summer must be even more memorable because of the World Cup Match. Every picnic is playful, but this summer picnic will be even more enjoyable and fun because of this OASIS Folding Table and Chairs. They will totally make picnic much easier.

The 2010 summer is wonderful enough to be memorable—we sit under the open sky, breath in the fresh air, and watch the live telecasting of the world cup match with numerous people. And of course we all use the OASIS 2-Person Folding Table and Chairs. Shaped like a small suitcase that measures 23 3/4″ x 15 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ (L x H x D), the furniture actually can be expanded into 31 1/2″ Length x 23 5/8″ Width x 25 9/16″ Height, especially perfect for camping and picnic.

I love foldable furnitures, and they’re even more adorable when in outdoor use. Because apparently it is more convenient carrying a suitcase other than a table and two chairs, right.

Foldable Cute Basket

April 25th, 2010

Foldable BasketAs you might already knew that I love cute gadgets! I have introduced lots of cute little things before, and if you enjoyed those, then this is going to be the thing you’ve been waiting for at my blog. This foldable cute basket is so adorable and very interesting.

As you can see from the photo, this is another product inspired by the origami art…Designed by Takashi Houjo, the basket would change into a floor mat when unfolded. And have you noticed its lovely long tongue? That’s not just for decoration, but also used to keep the handles together. So cute!

Foldable Basket foldingThis could just a interesting floor mat, so unlike the conventional baskets, it won’t take much room when not in use and actually it can be used in a quite different way, so this makes the basket really versatile. Also, I really love the cute design, the lovely smiling face is very cute and the thoughtful ‘tongue’, this basket is totally awesome.

February 21st, 2010

FlexibleLove Virgin - foldable wooden chairChairs which we love, are basically the most useful furniture in our houses, and a funny chair can always create a good mood for you. We all love funny chairs, it has always been delight to have a funny chair at home or at the office, for that means you can actually have fun whenever you want. How wonderful is that! Well, let’s have a look at the funny chair here.

Incorporating an ‘accordion-like, honeycomb’ structure, the FlexibleLove Virgin designed by Chishen Chiu could accommodate a seating for 8 to 16 people at one time. The product line now consists of two different kinds of FlexibleLove, the Earth 8 and the Earth 16. Both of them are made of recycled materials like the recycled paper, recycled wood waste, etc. When given a simple pull at each end, the furniture could be easily transformed into a semicircular or a circular-shaped seating to hold as many as 16 people. But when folded up, it measures merely one tenths of that.

So, very compact design, nice looking and as the official site says”Furniture from paper. Ecological, Adaptable, Practical.” This is a chair suitable for any place, inside house, office, garden, public region…Always happy to see a beautiful funny chair…Well, how do you like it?

foldable workstation

January 12th, 2010

foldable workstationEver felt so embarrassed about your small home? Just always too much stuff that you can’t even find a real neat place? I myself sometimes got so angry about these furnitures that just can’t fit into my house, and felt so crowded and weird even it’s lucky enough to fit in. As we all know, most of the furnitures we don’t use all the time, like a workstaion, yet they stand there all the time taking a lot of space! Then I just started wondering if I can have some really nice furnitures that can be retracted, and only take the  proper space when at use. Fortunately I found this!

The Hinge Workstation by Knot Design is quite easy-going, as it can be completely folded up to merely 7 inches wide, taking up unexpectedly little space. And when you need to work, just take it out, unfold it, and few seconds later, you will have an elegant table. On paper it sounds Good, and after you use it, you’ll find it’s better!

This is like a dreaming furniture for me and many more who has little space at home. Besides, it’s very good looking too, elegant and beautiful! But as for those who has got large place and royal looking furnitures, this won’t be suitable, but still you can use it, for fun or to please your kids!
