Wow, that a nice sofa! I don’t know how you guys think of a couch or sofa, to me, a couch/sofa always has to be beautiful and comfortable. Yes, comfortable, that’s what a couch/sofa is for, and since it takes quite a lot room in our house and usually covers the important spot, so it might make the first image of your home to anyone who enters your house, therefore, a couch/sofa also should be beautiful!

Well, now let’s see if this weird little sofa is comfortable and beautiful enough for your house.

The project is the collaboration between Pieke and Innofa/Stretch Textiles, exhibiting at Ventura Lambrate, Milan Salone 2010. The giant, soft, elastic monsters want to make you feel more comfortable, and there’s quite plenty of them, all has a funny design. However I picked out this one pictured above as my favorite of all those cute monsters in the project.

The one is designed in a bright orange color palette, so it looks very warm and bright, also make me feel happy. And the design shape is very cute, the monster actually looks like your old granny who’s always there for you whenever you needed, and can always offer you a nice warm hug! That’s really sweet.

Well,  how do you like it? I think it’s fabulous, and it just occur to me that sitting on this cute monster sofa while watching “Alice in Wonderland” will be just fun. Right?

More than one hundred years of history go into every piece of furniture from French maker Ligne Roset who specializes in one of the most progressive collections of quality furniture I have seen. I am very sure that none of their original designs were as catchy as the “Yang” sofas slick modern appearance that features a versatile shape that allows a variety of set up configurations. The Yang is really four identical sections that make up a well rounded square, which in this case the sum of the parts is as cool as the whole. $3,100 – $3,700 per piece.

Quite pricy but still worth it. Buy one if you’ve got money, or simply admire its beauty if you have not.
